Thinking of doing a Postgraduate course from September 2019?

The Welsh Government has recently announced a new package of support for postgraduate Masters courses that will be available to Welsh domiciled students and EU students studying in Wales.

 The package is for students starting their Masters course from September 2019 and consists of:

·         Total support of £17,000

·         The £17,000 is made up of a mixture of grant and loan money

·         Students will be eligible for a minimum grant of £1,000 and £16,000 loan

·         If students opt to have a means-tested assessment their £17,000 could be made up of  a higher ratio of grant and less loan depending on their level of household income

 English domiciled students can access a loan of up to £10,906 for Masters courses.

English, Welsh and EU students studying in Wales on Doctoral courses can access a loan of up to £25,700.
