You need to register at your uni or college before any student finance can be paid to you.
Your Maintenance Loan will be paid directly into your bank account at the start of each term but some banks take longer to clear funds. Your Tuition Fee Loan will be paid directly to your uni or college.
Please note that no funds will usually be released until after you have enrolled or collected your student ID card for the first time.
You should also make sure your bank details are up to date – you can do this by logging into your account.
Go through the checklist below, to make sure you get your money as soon as possible:
•You’ve submitted your application and sent all the evidence student finance has asked for. And your application has been processed and approved by student finance.
•You’ve signed and returned your declaration form.
•You’ve registered at your uni or college.
•Your uni or college has confirmed to us that you’ve registered.
•You’ve allowed a few working days for your money to be paid into your bank account.
